Course Description: (4) The techniques of calculus will be stressed. Topics include functions, limits and continuity, derivatives, the Mean Value theorem, applications of derivatives, the Riemann integral, application of the integral, the fundamental theorem of integral calculus, and logarithmic and exponential functions.
Prerequisite: MATH 111 or placement.
Calculator: Portions of the exams and homework may require a graphing calculator such as the TI-86.

Note: Make up tests will be given only under extraordinary circumstances. If you miss an exam, you must obtain a written excuse from the Dean of Undergraduate Studies.
Grading Policy: There will be three midterms on: Monday September 17, Wednesday October 17,
and Monday November 12.
Each midterm will be worth 15%, the final will be worth 40% and the
homework
15%. The lower bound percentages for the various grades are
given below:
