To the Campus by Car: From Highway I-26: One of
the most common routes into
Charleston
is the major highway I-26. Take I-26 East until it ends in Charleston.
At
the end, stay in the right lane which puts you briefly on Hwy 17, and
immediately exit right onto King Street. Turn right on King and follow
the
directions below. From Highway 17: If coming
in to Charleston on Highway
17 (the
Savannah Highway) take the King Street exit in downtown Charleston.
Turn
right on King Street and follow the directions below. To the Barksdale House Inn: Those participants who stay at the Barksdale House will
head south on King Street, pass a tall church steeple on your right,
directly across from Marion Square Park on your left (see the map). Immediately after this, you
will cross the intersection of Calhoun and King. Continue south to the
next intersection (King and George Street) and make a left turn:
the Barksdale House is at 27 George Street on your right. To the Faculty Houses: If you are staying at
one of the Faculty Houses, follow the directions for the Barksdale
House till you reach the intersection of King and George. At George
Street, make a right turn.
The next street on the left is Glebe Street. Most people are at 20
Glebe, the other Faculty House (12 Glebe) is a little further down. You
can park on the street, or you can park in the parking garage or the
lot on George Street, both of which are a block east of the Faculty

Marion:
Many of the participants will be staying at the Francis Marion Hotel,
at
the corner of King and Calhoun Street. Their website includes driving
directions
and contact information and can be found here.
You may choose to park their car at the K-lot, on the north-west corner
of Calhoun and Coming (see the map).
It is free after 4PM on Friday,
and all day Saturday and Sunday.

The workshop will be held in Maybank
100, facing the mall
of the CofC campus. By the way, the Math Department is located upstairs
on the 2nd floor. You can enter the campus from Calhoun, St. Philip,
and George Street.
