The next Math Meet will be held on Saturday February 21, 2009.
It will be exciting and different because we will be hosting an edition of the American Mathematical Society's "Who Wants to be a Mathematician?" and will feature a lecture from the famous number theorist Ken Ono.

At the 2008 Math Meet, Our guest speaker was Barry Cipra, author of
"What's Happening in the Mathematical Sciences" (see also
here) and "Misteaks (and how to find them before the teacher does)",
who presented an entertaining and understandable overview of some
exciting and important recent developments in mathematics.

Although it is early, you can begin
registering a team for the 2009 competition
right now. You will need to enter your school
code and select a password. The registration deadline is
Friday February 13, 2009.
