Math on the Job:

However, Bradley says that she uses things learned from her math professors everyday. In particular, she relies on her analytical and problem-solving skills that she learned while at the College of Charleston -- and these skills have been further developed by her work experiences. Moreover, she makes use of language skills she obtained as a student to discuss technical details with the company's engineers.
Background:
- Graduated from the College of Charleston in May 2006 with a BS in mathematics and a concentration in Actuarial Studies.
Advice for Current Students:
- "Get a job/internship that will look great on your resume. I found that employers like to see someone that took the time to study and really care about their GPA, but the bottom line is they want to see what type of experience, if any, you have. An internship of any kind or a job that is related to something that you want to do, will put you above all the others. Also, when applying for jobs, search months in advance and research those employers. If you are the right fit for the position, they will wait until you are available. Your parents are right, it is very tough to find the right job for you. Don't take the first job you are offered. There is a right job for you and it will come when you least expect it."
